Description

Vintage 1930s Art Deco Walnut Secretary Display Cabinet

This elegant Art Deco secretary display cabinet from the 1930s showcases the era's distinctive design elements and craftsmanship. Constructed from walnut veneer, the cabinet features leaded stained glass doors adorned with green floral accents, flanked by curved glass display sections. Each side includes two glass shelves with heights of 13" and 12", ideal for showcasing collectibles. The central drop-down secretary desk reveals five compartments and a vinyl writing surface, providing functional workspace. Below, a storage area measuring 18.5" x 18.5" with a half-depth shelf (10" and 9" heights) offers additional utility. The piece is supported by Queen Anne-style cabriole legs, enhancing its classic appeal.

Condition

The cabinet is in good vintage condition, exhibiting signs of use consistent with its age. The finish shows wear, particularly on the heavily worn writing surface. There are 2-3 isolated areas with approximately 1/8" veneer chips. Importantly, all glass panels remain intact. The structure is sound, with functional doors and drawers.
