Description

Antique English Brass Altar Candlesticks with Candle Ejectors – 15.75” Tall

This pair of antique English brass altar candlesticks showcases a timeless tapered column design with a baluster-style midsection and a scalloped octagonal base. These solid brass candlesticks feature an integrated candle ejector mechanism, allowing for easy removal of spent candles by pushing the rod from the underside—a functional detail commonly found in well-crafted ecclesiastical candlesticks.

With a rich patina and traditional altar styling, these candlesticks likely date to the 18th or 19th century and remain an excellent decorative and functional addition to period interiors, religious spaces, or antique collections.

Condition:

Good antique condition with visible signs of use, surface oxidation, and wear. One of the candle ejectors is missing the round push plate on the underside, but the rod itself is intact and still functions. The brass has developed a natural patina over time, and we’re leaving the choice of polishing or preserving its aged character to the buyer.

  • Height: 15.75 inches
  • Base Diameter: 5.75 inches
  • Weight: 5 lbs 9 oz (each)
