Description

Late 19th-Century French Art Nouveau Spelter Bust – Belle Époque Era

A charming late 19th-century French Art Nouveau spelter bust sculpture of a woman, reflecting the elegance of the Belle Époque era. This finely crafted bust features a two-tone patinated finish with hand-painted details, emphasizing the soft, naturalistic facial features and flowing drapery. The subject wears an ornate, wide-brimmed hat with delicate ribbons, and her off-the-shoulder gown is adorned with intricate floral motifs, characteristic of the Art Nouveau style.

This unsigned and unmarked piece showcases the craftsmanship of the period, blending classical beauty with organic, flowing lines. An exquisite decorative accent for collectors of Belle Époque and Art Nouveau art.

Condition:

Good overall condition with age-appropriate wear. There is a 0.5-inch section of paint loss on the top of her hat and signs of possible prior restoration. The patina remains rich, and the details are well-preserved. Please refer to photos for additional condition details.
