This Art Deco mantel clock, by Enfield Clock Co. (London), beautifully captures the bold, geometric style of the era. The clock’s case showcases striking walnut veneers with contrasting inlaid detailing, creating a dynamic, angular design characteristic of Art Deco aesthetics. Its round dial features Roman numerals, ornate silver-tone hands, and a chrome bezel, all protected by a clear, domed glass cover that adds a touch of sophistication.

The clock houses an 8-day mechanical wind-up movement, stamped "Enfield Clock 5E" on the interior cast iron plate and marked "Made in England" on the dial. This timepiece plays the iconic Westminster chime on the hour and quarter-hour, producing a beautifully resonant tone. Complete with its original key and pendulum, this clock is not just a decorative statement but also a functional piece of British horological history.

The timekeeping is mostly accurate, though minor adjustments may be needed to achieve optimal precision. The original winding key and pendulum are included, and the internal mechanism is clean, showing no signs of rust or corrosion.

Cosmetic:
In good vintage condition with some signs of age-related wear. There is minor veneer loss on the front, measuring approximately 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch, which does not detract from its overall appeal. The glass cover is clear and intact, free from cracks or chips. The hinges and back door latch are secure and function well. Notably, one of the chrome legs has been reattached, but it remains sturdy and blends seamlessly with the original design. Light tarnishing on the chrome bezel adds to its authentic vintage charm.
