Pair of Japanese Meiji Period Carved Ivory Okimono Figures, Signed

A finely crafted pair of Japanese Meiji period (1868–1912) ivory okimono figures, depicting elderly male and female figures in traditional attire. The male figure holds a staff and a fish, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune, while the female figure carries a broom and a small box. Both display intricate incised detailing on their robes with traditional Japanese motifs, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship. Each piece bears an artist's signature inscribed on the base, adding to their collectible appeal.

Condition:

Good condition with no remarkable damage. Minor age-related wear and a natural patina consistent with the period.
