This vintage Navajo necklace showcases a beautifully handcrafted sterling silver heart-shaped pendant, set with a striking turquoise stone. The pendant is adorned with intricate silver leaf motifs and delicate beadwork along its edges, adding depth and dimension to the design. The piece hangs gracefully from a strand of 108 slightly graduated sterling silver Navajo pearls, ranging from 4 mm to 5.1 mm, which feature a combination of bench-made and commercially manufactured sterling silver beads. These beads are individually hand-strung and exhibit a radiant patina.
The pendant is signed "GR" on the reverse, indicating a Navajo artisan, though further research may be needed to identify the exact maker. The craftsmanship is clearly Navajo, with traditional techniques evident in the detailed silverwork and stone setting.
