Description

Vintage Canvasback Drake Decoy Duck – Signed Noah Martin, Glass Eyes

This hand-carved and hand-painted Canvasback Drake Decoy is a fine example of traditional waterfowl carving. Signed "N. Martin" on the underside, by carver Noah Martin, this decoy features meticulously textured feathers, a distinctive red head, black neck, and realistic glass eyes. Crafted from a single solid piece of wood with a jointed neck, this piece showcases the craftsmanship and attention to detail valued by collectors.

Originally created for hunting, vintage decoys like this one have become highly sought-after as folk art and rustic decor. Whether displayed in a collection or used as an accent piece, this beautifully aged decoy brings charm and authenticity to any setting.

Condition:

Good vintage condition with expected wear from age, including knicks on the bill and minor scuffs. The paint shows some loss, particularly on the head, adding to its authentic aged character. Despite these signs of use, the decoy remains structurally solid with no remarkable damage, preserving its integrity and collectible appeal.

Dimensions:

  • Height: 6 inches (15 cm)
  • Length: 15 inches (38 cm)
  • Width: 5.5 inches (14 cm)

Note: Campbell’s soup can included in photos for scale.
