Artist Background:
Rick Snow is a distinguished ceramic artist based in Corrales, New Mexico. His journey into ceramics began in Florida, where, after retirement, he pursued ceramics classes at a local community college. Upon completing the available courses, he served as a pottery lab technician, gaining extensive experience in studio management and various ceramic techniques.
Relocating to New Mexico for an executive role overseeing an R&D group, Snow settled in Corrales. Over a decade, he directed research, design, and testing of energetic materials. In his personal time, he established a pottery studio and a commercial vineyard. For over 22 years, Snow has been creating and selling unique functional and whimsical pottery, supplying grapes to local vintners, and offering private ceramics instruction in his studio.
Snow's work is showcased in his studio by appointment, at local Corrales art shows, and in various galleries throughout the Albuquerque area. His pieces, such as baskets and colanders, are fully functional and also serve as decorative art.
Snow's dedication to blending functionality with artistic expression has solidified his reputation in the New Mexico art community.
