Description

Antique Ball Ideal Aqua Glass Pint Jar Set with Aqua and Clear Lids (Patented July 14, 1908)

Description:
This charming set includes two antique 1-pint Ball Ideal jars in the classic aqua glass, each embodying the heritage of early American canning. The first jar is marked “Ball Ideal 12.2” with the mold number “3” on the bottom and is paired with a clear glass lid. The second jar is embossed with “Ball Ideal Pat’d July 14, 1908,” along with the number “5” on the bottom, and is topped with an aqua glass lid. Both jars feature their original wire bail closures, adding to their historical authenticity.

Condition:
These jars are in good antique condition with no chips, cracks, or major damage. The wire bail and lid on the jar with the clear lid display some surface corrosion, which is typical for pieces of this age and adds to their vintage charm. Both jars retain their structural integrity and are well-preserved for display or collection.

Dimensions:

  • Each Jar Size: 1 Pint, 5 1/2 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches in diameter.

This set is ideal for collectors of antique Ball glassware or those who appreciate rustic Americana. With their distinct markings, mold numbers, and lid variations, these jars make an excellent addition to any antique collection or as unique decorative accents.
