Antique Mason Jars - "Mason's Patent" 1858 Aqua Glass Set, 3 Pieces
A charming set of three antique Mason jars, featuring the iconic "Mason's Patent Nov 30th 1858" embossing that has become a collector's staple. Each jar showcases the distinct aqua hue that typifies 19th-century glassware. This set includes:
-
(2) Quart Jars: Measuring 7" in height and 3.5" in diameter, these jars are marked 833 and 820 on the bottom. Both are without lids..
-
(1) Pint Jar with Lid: This smaller jar stands at 5.5" in height and 3" in diameter. It is embossed with Ball Mason's Patent 1858 and features a unique "86" mark on the bottom. This piece includes an aluminum lid with a milk glass insert marked "Ball".
Condition:
The jars are in good antique condition, with age-appropriate wear. Notably, both quart jars have chips on the inside rim, a common sign of use for glassware of this age. Scuffing and light abrasions from handling over the years add to their authenticity and historical character.
