Lionel JR. No. 1688E Engine with 1689T Non-Whistling Tender
Description:
This vintage Lionel Jr. No. 1688E engine, paired with the 1689T non-whistling tender, was produced during the prewar era in the late 1930s to early 1940s. The 1688E is a streamlined tinplate engine with a gray body, designed in the style of a steam locomotive, and was one of Lionel's popular models for O-gauge layouts. The 1689T tender is correctly paired with this engine and features the "Lionel Lines" marking on its side.
