About the Artist:
Nisaburo Ito was a painter and printmaker from the Kyoto area. Renowned for his creations portraying landscapes, famous Kyoto views, as well as depictions of flowers and birds, specifically designed for the publisher Uchida. The style of his prints vary from those influenced by traditional Japanese painting styles to those that are more typical of Sōsaku-hanga (new print) designs.
