Arcade Cast Aluminum Ford Model T Truck – Late 1930s, Red Spoked Wheels
A charming cast aluminum toy Ford Model T pickup, made by the Arcade Manufacturing Company of Freeport, Illinois, likely in the late 1930s. The model’s styling is unmistakably 1920s, but the use of aluminum rather than cast iron reflects Arcade’s final years of toy production before World War II. Stamped “Made by Arcade MFCO” on the underside, it retains its original black enamel finish with red spoked wheels and silver rims.
Arcade was one of America’s premier toy makers, celebrated for its lifelike miniatures of real automobiles. Aluminum examples such as this are relatively rare, produced in limited quantities as the company transitioned away from heavy cast iron. A delightful survivor from an era when toys were built to last, combining early automotive nostalgia with evolving industrial innovation.
Condition
