Early 1900s Cast Iron Toy Coupe Car — Mold No. 6, Working Wheels
A fine early 20th-century cast iron toy coupe, echoing the shape of the classic Model T era automobile. Cast in two sturdy halves and joined with a single screw, this charming miniature features rolling spoked wheels and a subtle “6” mold number underneath — a foundry reference typical of early toy production.
Its dark bronze patina and traces of oxidation speak to generations of use and admiration. Likely produced by an American foundry such as Hubley or A.C. Williams between 1915 and 1930, it captures the robust charm of early automotive toys — simple, durable, and full of character.
Dimensions:
3.5" H × 2.5" W × 5.85" L
Weight: 24.3 oz
Condition:
Good overall condition with age-appropriate wear and surface oxidation. Wheels turn freely, screw appears original, and there are no visible cracks or repairs. Honest patina consistent with early cast iron production.
