(MARK) Arcade Cast-Iron Ford Model T Sedan w/ Driver, Restored 1920s Toy, 6.5"
This delightful 1920s Arcade cast-iron Ford Model T Sedan captures the dawn of America’s automotive age in miniature form. Measuring 6.5 inches long, it features the unmistakable boxy profile of the Model T—“the car that put the world on wheels.” Arcade’s designers gave it a glossy black enamel finish with gold accents, a tan beltline trim, and a cast driver at the wheel, faithfully echoing Henry Ford’s famously utilitarian styling. White rubber tires on black spoked hubs add the perfect period touch.
Produced by Arcade Manufacturing Co. of Freeport, Illinois, a leading maker of cast-iron toys from the 1910s through the 1930s, this model exemplifies their blend of rugged play value and mechanical realism. Early pieces like this were often sold through mail-order catalogs and five-and-dime stores—built to endure generations of play and still charm collectors a century later.
Condition:
Good overall. Appears to have been restored, with repainted black enamel and refreshed gold detailing. Minor edge wear and light handling marks; wheels roll freely with no visible cracks or casting repairs. Presents beautifully for display.
Dimensions:
3.75" H × 6.5" W × 3" D
Weight: 1 lb 12 oz
Collector’s Note:
Arcade’s Ford Model T series is among the most recognizable American cast-iron toy lines. Their sedans, coupes, and touring cars remain sought after for their solid construction and historical charm.
