A.C. Williams Cast Iron Blue Coupe Toy Car, c.1930s — Marked “4”
Step back into the golden age of American toy making with this delightful cast iron coupe, attributed to the A.C. Williams Company of Ravenna, Ohio, circa 1920s–1930s. Formed in solid cast iron and painted in its original sky-blue enamel, this little roadster embodies the era when craftsmanship and imagination steered the world of play.
The car features A.C. Williams’ signature daisy-pattern disc wheels, crisp molded details, and a handsome ribbed hood, all rendered with an industrial elegance unique to prewar American toys. The underside bears the foundry casting mark “4,” typical of Williams’ cavity numbering system.
Condition
In good vintage condition with visible signs of use. The paint appears original, showing age-appropriate wear, chipping, and oxidation consistent with play and time. Wheels roll freely; no cracks or repairs noted. Displays beautifully with genuine antique character.
