Arcade Cast Iron Model A Long Bed Pickup #210R/210L, Freeport Ill, c.1930s
Step back into the golden age of American toys with this Arcade cast iron pickup truck, a true piece of playroom history! Cast in solid iron in Freeport, Illinois during the late 1920s–1930s, this sturdy truck wears its original red paint with the kind of cheerful battle scars only decades of childhood adventures can deliver.
Marked underneath with “ARCADE 210R,” “210L,” “S2,” and “FREEPORT ILL,” this is an authentic example of Arcade’s #210 series, a body style commonly associated with both pickup and wrecker configurations of its day. Arcade was famous for marrying simple mechanical ingenuity with charming realism—notice the functional spoked wheels, the seated driver, and the flathead screw construction that was cutting-edge toy engineering in its era.
Condition
In good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear and character. The original paint shows chipping and surface loss consistent with decades of enjoyment. Flathead screws and cast components are intact. The solid iron body remains sturdy with no major breaks or repairs. A compelling balance of originality and play-worn charm.
