Cast Iron “Bell Telephone” Service Truck – 1980 Mark, Hubley-Style Classic
Roll back in time with this sturdy cast iron “Bell Telephone” service truck—an homage to the original 1920s–30s Hubley design that celebrated America’s communication boom. Cast solid and embossed with bold lettering, this miniature utility truck captures the grit and charm of the early service era, when Bell linemen kept the country connected one pole at a time. The molded driver under the roof canopy and the olive-green finish—with its wonderfully aged paint and original red-and-cream rubber wheels—add to its nostalgic appeal.
Although the “1980, 1” mark on the underside indicates a later casting, it’s a faithful reproduction that retains the classic heft, texture, and craftsmanship collectors love about Hubley’s originals.
