Before plastic ruled the toy box, America’s children played with iron and imagination. This vintage cast iron dump truck, attributed to Hubley Manufacturing Co., dates to around 1928–1933—a time when trucks were tough, toys were metal, and every dent told a story.
Beautifully detailed with a red cab and molded driver, orange tilting dump bed, and spoked iron wheels, this sturdy 8-inch model embodies the charm of early industrial-age playthings. The two-piece body with center seam and spring-latch dump mechanism are signature Hubley traits found in their “Mack/Contractor” line.
Condition
Good overall, with age-appropriate wear. Retains traces of original red and orange paint, showing areas of oxidation and surface loss that enhance its vintage appeal. Dump bed tilts properly, and all four wheels turn freely. Comes as shown.
