Arcade Cast Iron Ford Model T Tudor Sedan w/ Driver, 1926–27
Produced by the Arcade Manufacturing Company of Freeport, Illinois, this cast iron toy automobile represents the Ford Model T Tudor (center-door) sedan, dating to 1926–1927. Marked on the underside “Arcade MFG Co” with the mold designation “3S,” this example corresponds to Arcade’s No. 103 Ford Tudor, a popular and enduring design from the golden age of American cast iron toys.
The car features a solid cast body, spoked wheels, open window design, and a seated silver-tone cast driver figure, a detail that greatly enhances both display presence and collector appeal. The proportions and styling closely mirror the real Ford Tudor sedans seen on American roads during the late Model T era. A period tag accompanies the piece, further identifying it as “103 Ford Tudor 1926–27 (1109150).”
Condition
In good condition, with age-appropriate wear throughout. The surface shows oxidation, paint loss, and natural patina consistent with early cast iron toys. The driver figure remains intact. No repairs observed. The piece comes exactly as shown in the photos.
