Arcade Cast-Iron Orange Coupe Toy Car, 1920s–30s
Offered here is an early cast-iron coupe by Arcade Mfg. Co., Freeport, Illinois, produced during the 1920s–1930s when Arcade stood as one of America’s premier makers of high-quality cast-iron toys. This example retains its original orange paint, nickel-plated wheels, rear spare, and a partial Arcade decal on the driver-side door. The underside is clearly marked ARCADE MFG CO along with casting marks S1 and S3, and the flathead screw construction remains consistent with Arcade’s pre-1941 manufacturing methods.
Condition
In good condition, showing age-appropriate paint wear, chipping, and surface marks throughout. The paint appears original, and the wheels roll as expected. A partial decal remains on the driver-side door. Wear is visible on edges and high points but does not affect display. Comes exactly as shown.
