Arcade 6½" Cast Iron Ford “Fordor” Sedan, 107L/107R, c.1925–1929
Step back into the roaring 1920s with this delightful cast iron Ford “Fordor” Sedan by Arcade Manufacturing Co. of Freeport, Illinois—one of America’s premier makers of heavy cast toys. Embossed underneath with “ARCADE / FREEPORT ILL / 107L / 107R”, this model represents Arcade’s celebrated 6½-inch sedan series, modeled after the real-life Ford automobiles that put the world on wheels.
Finished in classic black with a gold beltline accent and featuring its original cast driver, this example retains a partially intact “An Arcade Toy” decal—a coveted detail among collectors. The rolling spoked wheels, squared roofline, and ribbed hood capture the early automotive aesthetic perfectly. More than a toy, it’s a miniature monument to an era when craftsmanship and imagination met in solid cast iron.
Condition
Good overall. Original black paint shows minor scuffs and light edge wear consistent with age; gentle restoration preserves its authentic character. The paper Arcade label remains partially intact. Wheels roll freely, casting is sound, and no structural cracks are observed.
