Description

A.C. Williams-Style Red Cast Iron Touring Car, 1920s — Restored 9¼"

Step back to the roaring 1920s with this impressive cast iron touring car, a classic example of early American toy craftsmanship. Measuring a substantial 9¼ inches long, this unmarked but unmistakably A.C. Williams–style “Lincoln” touring car captures the charm of an era when motoring was a grand adventure. Its sweeping fenders, open cab, and spare tire detail mirror the full-sized automobiles that inspired generations of toy makers.

Professionally restored in deep red enamel with gold-highlighted headlights and rolling spoked wheels, it balances authenticity with vivid display appeal. The solid cast body—crafted in two sections and joined at the center—reflects the robust Ohio foundry methods that made A.C. Williams a leader in early 20th-century toy production.

Condition
Good overall, showing careful restoration. Repainted in period-correct red enamel with light surface wear from handling. Wheels roll smoothly, casting remains solid and intact, and no structural cracks or repairs are visible. Retains strong display presence with authentic early styling.
