Early 1900s Warwick IOGA Portrait Vase
Known as a “Lady of the Evening” portrait vase, this semi-porcelain vase was made by Warwick China in Wheeling, West Virginia. The IOGA portrait vases featured a range of subjects, including pretty young women of unknown identity. Some were more scantily clad than this one, leading to decades of speculation about who the mysterious models were. The IOGA line was produced between 1893 and 1911. Vases with this particular portrait are generally estimated to be from 1906-1907. Signed on the bottom with the IOGA Warwick back stamp, and a red C2 mark.
