Folk Art Mirror Mosaic Garden Jardiniere
An unusual vintage two-piece mosaic jardiniere, originally made to hold plants or flowers. The artist glued and grouted small glass mirror and pottery pieces over a large terra cotta pot and pedestal. Over the years, the silvering on the back of the small glass mirror pieces has weathered away to the current soft grey-green color, with occasional sparkles in the sun. It includes a round glass top, allowing the vintage piece to serve as a small table or plant stand, indoors or on a covered patio.
Condition:
Good
Restored vintage condition. Some of the mirror tiles have been lost on the bottom of the pot, and have been replaced with cement grout. The round glass top has a few small nicks.
Size:
The three parts stacked together stand 29.75" tall.
The top pot portion is 9" X 15"
The hollow bottom pedestal is 20" tall, and 10.5" wide at the base.
The round 3/4" thick glass top is 16" wide.
All together, it weighs a bit over 40 pounds.
