About the Artist: Tadeusz Lapinski (1928–2016) was born in Rawa Mazowiecka, Poland, and later became a prominent figure in the American art scene. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and moved to Paris in 1964 on a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art of the Polish People's Republic. In Paris, he was influenced by and connected with notable artists and intellectuals, including Jacques Prévert and Pablo Picasso.
Lapinski relocated to the United States in 1968, where he continued to develop his artistic practice. His works have been exhibited internationally and are held in esteemed collections such as the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Known for his innovative techniques and striking use of color, Lapinski has left a lasting impact on the world of graphic arts.
