Description

Rustic Zia Garden Bell Sculpture

  • Artist: Unknown
  • Signature: SKO
  • Title: Zia Themed Art Piece
  • Medium: Mixed Media Sculpture
    Iron, Steel, Wood

The main components of the sculpture include:

  • Plow Disc Base: The sculpture stands on a robust plow disc base, providing a sturdy foundation and enhancing its rustic, agricultural charm.
  • Wood Beams: Two "4X4" vertical wooden beams serve as the primary structural support, adding a natural, earthy element that contrasts beautifully with the industrial components.
  • Iron Top: The top of the sculpture features a large, weathered plow disc with a central cutout and an engraved Zia symbol, enhancing the cultural significance of the piece.
  • Bell Made From Welding Tank: The central bell is crafted from an old welding tank previously used by the US Navy, as indicated by the markings "USN" on the tank. This bell has been creatively repurposed and intricately decorated with a rust patina and various welded patterns, including chili peppers, the Zia symbol, a coyote, and a lizard. The bell hangs from the plow disc via a metal ring and chain, producing a resonant sound as it moves from the internal clapper.
