Ouida Touchón is a distinguished visual artist originally from New Mexico, now residing in Delta, Colorado. Known for her observational and figurative work, Touchón creates small-edition woodcut prints and oil paintings that often explore the tactile qualities of her materials. She earned her B.F.A. in painting from the Kansas City Art Institute and her M.A. in studio arts from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. Her work, which has been exhibited in various galleries and museums, aims to create a connection between the viewer and the artist through shared sensations of joy and commonality.
Touchón is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Print Alliance, Southern Graphics Council, California Society of Printmakers, and Los Angeles Printmaking Society. Her artistic journey has been enriched by studying with distinguished mentors in Italy, Mexico, and the United States, allowing her to refine her technique and expand her creative horizons.
