Antique French Figural Clock with Jesus Carrying His Cross
This early 20th-century French clock boasts a remarkable bronze-style sculpture of Jesus carrying his cross. Jésus Portant Sa Croix Par Laurent was designed by French sculptor Eugene Laurent (1832-1898). Mounted prominently on top of the clock, the sculpture, which stands at an impressive 16 inches in height, is in excellent condition, displaying a finely aged patina that adds to its historic charm.

The timepiece itself features an elegant enamel porcelain dial shielded by a beveled glass lens, ensuring the protection of its delicate hands and Roman numeral markers. 

Adding to the grandeur of this piece are the stately marble columns that flank the dial, providing a striking contrast to the richly toned sculpture. The body of the clock is clad in stone, likely slate.
