The Church was built in the late 1880’s on the SW corner of Church St. and Las Cruces Avenue; it faced west. The convent was south of the Church. The buildings were demolished in the early 1960’s. - Blacksmith Shop, Las Cruces c.1897
The Blacksmith Shop was owned and operated by James H. Rynerson, a philosopher and devout bible student. He always posted signs similar to the one shown in the front of his building. - Main Street, Las Cruces c.1895
Looking north along Main Street from south of Griggs Ave. The low building on the right is the Commercial Hotel. Next is the Masonic Temple, and general merchandise stores. - Old Main, New Mexico State University c.1898
The first building on the then, new campus of New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts. Built in 1891, it served as the only classroom facility until 1898. It burned to the ground in 1910.
