Hand Forged Roman Pugio with Sharp High Carbon Steel Blade by Windlass
The pugio (plural, pugiones) was a dagger used by Roman soldiers as a secondary weapon. The main weapons were the pilum (a javelin) and the gladius (a sword). The beautiful ergonomic shape wood hilt of this functional recreation dagger is paired with a fully tempered high carbon steel blade. The classic leaf-shaped blade is battle-ready. It comes complete with a wood scabbard covered in leather with brass parts and is based on remains in the British Museum Use it to add authenticity to Roman reenactment events, or display it with pride amongst historical weapon collections.
