About the Artist:

J. Paul Eaton, born on September 24, 1927, in Laurium, Michigan, was an acclaimed artist known for his distinctive pen and ink drawings that humorously exaggerated architectural details. A 1945 graduate of Calumet High School, Eaton furthered his studies at Michigan Technological University and Lawrence University, where he graduated Cum Laude in 1954 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

After teaching art at Manistique High School, he pursued theological studies at Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary and was ordained in the Episcopal Priesthood. Serving congregations in Michigan and Wisconsin, he paralleled his ecclesiastical duties with his artistic passion, gaining national recognition for his artwork. Eaton was an active member in art communities and participated in juried shows across the country.
