Cutty Sark 1869 Model Ship
- Tea Clipper Sailing Vessel
- Beautiful Souvenir
- Collectable
This model ship is a replica of the world's last intact clipper ship, the Cutty Sark, now preserved in dry dock at Greenwich, London.
Long, lean and beautiful, the Cutty Sark was built in 1869 for the tea trade but was made redundant by the completion of the Suez Canal, which made steam ships more economical. Instead, she earned her living, and an incredible reputation for speed, in the long-distance wool trade (from Australia).
