About the Artist:
Abel Garcia

Abel Garcia, a Dallas-based artist with strong Las Cruces roots. His unique blend of urban graffiti-inspired elements and traditional art concepts has earned him recognition and admiration globally. Garcia's art is a riot of vibrant colors, brought to life through a distinctive layering technique using mediums like acrylic paint, graffiti markers, and spray paint. He lives and breathes art, famously coining the phrase, "Why sleep when you can paint?"

Garcia's client list reads like a who's who of the sports and entertainment world. Notable figures such as Dallas Cowboys legends Emmitt Smith, Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliot, and Jay Novacek have proudly collected his artwork. His work also extends to collaborations with "Air Jordan" designer Justin Taylor, the Dallas Mavericks, FC Dallas, Toyota Connect, Jack Daniels, professional boxer Austin Trout, UFC fighter Ocho Peterson, and many more.

While Garcia's art has found homes in luxury high rises from Dallas to Austin and his murals grace various neighborhoods in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, he remains deeply connected to Las Cruces, a place where he has showcased his talent. In 2011, he was recognized as Austin's "Visual Artist of the Year," further solidifying his status as a noteworthy artist.

Beyond his artistic achievements, Garcia is committed to giving back. He supports charitable and nonprofit organizations such as The Warren Center, The Birthday Party Project, Operation Rock the Troops, and many more, reflecting his dedication to making a positive impact in his Dallas community, his hometown of Las Cruces, and beyond. Additionally, he has ventured into clothing and shoe design, earning respect in the fashion industry. Abel Garcia's art not only reflects his passion for life but also serves as a powerful conduit for sharing that passion with the world.
