$50 Andele Restaurant Gift Card and Andele Salsas Gift Set, Las Cruces, NM

Tasty certainly describes the Mexican food at Andele Restaurant in Old Mesilla, NM! More than 27 years ago, the Schneider family started Andele Restaurant in historic Old Mesilla, NM, just outside Las Cruces. Both parents are gone now, and daughter Andrea now runs the restaurant with traditional sit-down family dining and Andele's Dog House, a more laid-back version with patio dining. Since 1996, Andele Restaurant has treated guests to authentic Mexican food and its trademark salsa bar.  Offered at the restaurant and for sale from Ol' Gringo Chile Company (where the quality salsas are made) are four salsas that use traditional ingredients — jalapeño, chile de arbol, tomatillo and chipotle — to bring a south-of-the-border experience. When you need a taste of Mexico from southern New Mexico, Andele salsas deliver. Ol' Gringo Chile Company has been winning awards with their salsas and sauces for several years. The $50 Andele gift card will allow you to try the four different salsas along with the tasty food at the restaurant, and this gift set of the four different Andele salsas should last a few days afterwards! Andrea and her sister Rachel of Ol' Gringo Chile Company were extremely kind to donate these items to benefit our kitties, and we are very grateful. The value of this package is $76.

About Andele Restaurant:

The history of Andele Restaurant starts in 1996, when Phil Schneider and his daughter Andrea opened a humble take-out window with limited menu options. The small eatery quickly earned a reputation of its signature dish, delicious tacos al carbon made with the highest-quality chicken, beef, and pork slow-cooked on a spit in front of a wood-burning oven. As the restaurant grew in popularity, it moved to its current location in Oñate Plaza where it now offers multiple dining rooms, two banquet facilities, a mercado, and a tortilleria. Offering customers the highest-quality, preservative-free corn and flour tortillas has been a popular decision at Andele Restaurant and Andele’s Dog House. Andele’s Dog House was opened in 2011 to add a patio dining concept and was one of the first dog-friendly restaurants in the area. A few years later, the Schneider family purchased the Ol’ Gringo Chile Company, where popular Andele salsas are jarred for retail sales. Along with the separate Ol’ Gringo line of sauces and chile, the company distributes the unique flavors of New Mexico chile nationwide. Today, Andele Restaurant is a local favorite for traditional New Mexico style meals, whether for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

About Ol' Gringo Chile Company:

More than 20 years ago, Ol’ Gringo Chile Company had its humble beginning when a farming family in southern New Mexico decided to produce their own chile sauces and salsas using produce grown in the borderland region. From the very first recipe to the current, what evolved was a line of products and recipes the whole family can enjoy. Since then, Ol’ Gringo Chile Company has added two other salsa lines — Andele and Aztec’s — that emphasize the flavor and spice that can only be found in Hatch Chile Country. Our dear friend Rachel Schneider is the major force behind Ol' Gringo Chile Company. She certainly doesn't create all their yummy salsas and sauces on her own. Au contraire, she has a great team who helps her provide Las Cruces and the entire Southwest with tasty goodies such as the red and green gourmet sauces featured here, plus New Mexico Gold salsas, Aztec's salsas from authentic Mexican recipes, Andele Restaurant salsas, and more.
