Mad Jack's Facebook page states that they are a Central Texas style Barbecue Joint in Cloudcroft, NM. The restaurant is one of the most popular in Cloudcroft. Usually there is a long line of folks waiting somewhat patiently for James Jackson's tasty barbecue, especially around lunchtime and on busy weekends. Lots of people rave about Mad Jack's barbecue, and will not hesitate to stand in the long lines to get food they love. Our friend James was very kind to help 1CaT, and we are grateful.
About the Cook:
Beginning in 2012, James started a second career smoking meats in his hometown of Lockhart, TX, and had a food trailer there for a while. He relocated to Cloudcroft in April 2015, and opened Mad Jack's May 23 of that same year.
