Description

28" Handmade Lamp-worked Glass Bead Necklace & Earrings Set by Kris Bryson

The beautiful glass beads used in creating this necklace and earrings were made using a technique called lamp-working that uses a torch to melt and shape glass. Once the glass is heated to a molten state, it is formed by blowing and shaping with tools and hand movements. It also is known as flame-working. The metal used in this set is sterling silver, and since the necklace is long enough to fit over one's head, there is no clasp. This necklace and earrings set was donated by our friend Karen Watts from her personal collection. We estimate this necklace and earrings set to be valued more than $150.

About the Artist:
Kris Bryson, Houston, TX

The lamp-worked glass beads used in this necklace and earrings were created quite a few years ago by Houston resident Kris Bryson. She is very talented and is good at whatever she may try her hand. Our friend Karen Watts was very kind to donate this lovely pendant and earring set to help 1CaT. She also has donated several other jewelry pieces and other art items that are included in this auction. We are extremely grateful to Karen for the funds she has helped us raise for our kitties!
