Gemma Orkin, Cape Town, South Africa
Gemma Orkin is an artist based in Cape Town, South Africa. She has been working with ceramics for 30 years. Her signature designs are delightful drawings of South African flora and fauna on bowls and other ceramic pieces. Gemma is inspired by nature, beautiful shapes, and delicate lines, and she calls her art "happy and uncomplicated." Although the designs are by Gemma, this bowl was made in China. Possible value $40-$50.
