"House Rules", Hand-Drawn & Hand-Painted Ceramic Tile by Nina Cambron
This piece of Nina Cambron’s art is fun and different, especially for her! Nina has been predominantly a fused-glass artist for many years, so this older hand-painted ceramic tile is vintage and unusual to have available still. Nina drew and painted the art on this ceramic tile – entitled “House Rules”. The "Rules" are a cute and nice way to convey your commandments in your home. The ceramic tiles were an offshoot for Nina, and she created only a few of them. Check out the closeup photo to see a few details of Nina's hand-painted tile. The three tiles in this auction are her only available tiles, so grab one (or more) before they are all gone! The original value of Nina's hand-painted tile "House Rules" is $165.
About the Artist:
Nina Cambron, Novi, MI
Typically a glass artist, fused glass represents a magical canvas of color and light for Nina. "The richness, luminescence and depth of layered glass allows me to express my creativity in its purest form,” she says. Nina describes her work as being "in a constant state of flux, not just season to season but piece to piece, as each result influences the next.” She says a BFA degree along with 30 years of graphic experimentation, work in clay and metal, a love for words, a whimsical versus serious bent and love for the human figure play a huge role in her current work.
