Fused Glass & Hand-Painted Kitty Ornaments, Set of 4, by Danielle Styles
Danielle combines her loves of glass art and illustration to create these cute kitty ornaments. Each of the four ornaments are different, but all are cute kitties. They will be happy on a Christmas tree, in a window or on a mirror, or just hanging around your home looking pretty! In our Cloudcroft, NM gift shop/gallery Off the Beaten Path, we sell Danielle's fused glass owl, penguin and bear ornaments, but Danielle was very kind to donate these extra kitty ornaments she made. Each ornament sells for $36 each, so this set of four kitties is valued at $144.
About the Artist:
Danielle Styles, Howell, MI
Working under the tutelage of renowned fused glass artist Nina Cambron since 2010, Danielle developed a love for glass. Working with Nina, and earning her illustration degree, has further developed Danielle's sense of design, composition and color combinations. Her work is inspired by her love of mid-century design and by being out in nature. Her critter series reflects this love, especially toward animals. Using a glass cutter, Danielle cuts out the shapes she desires in colored glass sheets. She also uses paint to enhance her work and add a distinctive illustrative touch. Fusing the pieces together forms a smooth, precise design. She loves the challenges and nuances presented by working in glass.
