About the Artist
Courtesy of West Lives on Gallery (See More of the Artist's Work here)
Danny Edwards has been a fine art sculptor for 22 years, creating work for collectors all over the world. His sculptures can be found in the halls of presidents and dignitaries, including the late U.S. President Ronald Reagan as well as corporations, banks, universities and private collections. His 17 foot tall "Elk Monument" and 32 foot long "Elk and Bear Monument’ are famous Jackson Hole, Wyoming landmarks.
Danny concentrates heavily in the wildlife theme and extensively researches each subject he sculpts. "Every animal has a certain spirit about it, and a certain way he carries himself, a particular gait in his walk. Each animal leaves a distinct footprint, and my job is to bring out some of that emotion for the viewer."

Danny also enjoys sculpting authentic Native American subjects. He depicts these first Americans in fluid motion scenes that capture the danger, emotion, and the excitement that they must have experienced. Danny is equally devoted to themes of historic significance. His authentic rendering of the Silver City stagecoach and six horses that ran between Winnemucca, Nevada and Silver City, Idaho back in the 1870’s represents a significant segment of Idaho history.

Other commissions include the American Bar Association, The Idaho Centennial Commission, The National Elk Refuge and The Wyoming Heritage Museum. Danny was commissioned by the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation for his life and one quarter size monument "Chance Encounter." It can be viewed at the Visitor’s Center in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Danny and his wife Lynda live in Twin Falls, Idaho. They still enjoy any opportunity to be outdoors, especially camping, hiking or just exploring the mountains of Idaho.
