The Cat's Meow Resource and Adoption Center SPRING FLING 2025 FUNDRAISER Preview (#18964538)

The Cat’s Meow Resource and Adoption Center (CMAC) is the result of collaboration between five ardent animal advocates with more than five decades of combined experience in feline welfare. They realized that, in addition to needing an additional adoption venue in Southern New Mexico, education on in animal welfare also was needed. Too often, animals end up homeless due to behavioral and other issues that, often, can be easily resolved. CMAC is dedicated to facilitating lifelong adoptions for its feline residents, as well as providing education about feline caretaking.

In addition to our adoption and education efforts, CMAC is dedicated to help control the feline population through TNR efforts and assisting community cat caregivers.

As a volunteer-powered organization, we can save many lives each year because of supporters like you. Donors work alongside foster parents and volunteers to help facilitate successful adoptions. When someone adopts a cat or kitten into their forever home, it saves two lives – both the adoptee and the cat that will be rescued in his/her place.

From January thru November 2024 we took in over 400 cats and kittens and have over 60 adults and 40 kittens/juveniles in our facility right now and 50 in foster homes. As if that’s not enough, we have a waiting list of cats/kittens needing homes. With this many cats and kittens, comes large vet bills. So far, our veterinary services costs have totaled over $200,000. Unfortunately, it’s been a horrible year for panleukopenia, which has rampaged in shelters across the county, and we’ve lost many kittens to this disease, many requiring veterinary care.

Pick up is located in Las Cruces in the area of Highway 70 and Sonoma Ranch North.

• Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Payment is by credit card and your card will be charged at the conclusion of the auction.   (Address will appear on the invoice for the winning bidders).

NOTICE:  Please ensure that all purchased items are picked up per your scheduled appointment date and time.  We have very limited space to hold onto items after the auction pickup dates.  Any items not picked up within 3 days after your scheduled date and time will be forfeited, unless special arrangements have been made in advance.  Thank you for your consideration.
