Description

Superior Hooded Galvanized Milk Can Bucket — Marked, 18"

This vintage hooded milk can bucket, marked “SUPERIOR”, is a utilitarian piece likely produced for dairy use in the early- to mid-20th century. Featuring a distinctive sloped hooded spout and angular swing handle, the form is consistent with milk or cream cans used in small-scale collection or delivery, possibly associated with H.P. Hood & Sons, a major New England dairy brand.

Constructed of galvanized steel, it includes a side grip for controlled pouring and a flat bail bracket with the “SUPERIOR” maker’s stamp. Its robust industrial design and regional heritage make it a striking accent for farmhouse, rustic, or industrial decor, or a collectible for dairy and agricultural history enthusiasts.

Condition:

Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Shows oxidation throughout, a notable dent on the rear, and moderate rust inside. Handle is intact and functional. See photos for condition details.

Dimensions:

18 x 12.5 x 15 inches (with handle)
