Offered is a superb set of five sequential $1 Federal Reserve Notes from the Kansas City district, Series 1981. Each note carries the “J” Federal Reserve designation, with consecutive serial numbers J56865806A through J56865810A. The green Treasury seal and serial numbers remain vivid, and signatures of Treasurer Angela M. Buchanan and Treasury Secretary Donald T. Regan are clearly printed along the lower margin.
Now over forty years old, these bills are exceptional examples of early 1980s U.S. currency. Intact, sequential runs from this series are seldom seen in pristine form, making this grouping especially desirable for collectors of small-size Federal Reserve Notes.
